Gish is a ball of tar from the 2D platforming game named after him (Gish). Similarly to Meat Boy, Gish lives happily with his girlfriend until a mysterious figure kidnaps her. Both characters were created by Edmund McMillen. Gish can be unlocked with 10 bandages. Gish can stick to walls or slide on ceilings, but is slow and has bad speed control. Gish is just like Headcrab but has a more vertical jump and a less horizontal jump.
- The PC counterparts are the Headcrab from Half-Life (Steam) or GooBall from World of Goo (PC & Steam). Out of these three, Gish and GooBall have the best vertical jump, while Headcrab has the best horizontal jump. This can be proved on 1-3 (The Gap).
- Gish appears in The demo chapter.
- He first appeared in Meat Boy (Flash).
- He also appears as an unlockable boss in another game called The Binding of Isaac (Steam).
