Warp Zones are objects that appear throughout Super Meat Boy series. They are hidden in various levels. Once found, they transport Meat Boy to a secret level. These secret levels are then accessible from their respective chapter's level select.
History[]
Super Meat Boy[]
Warp Zones appear in various levels in Super Meat Boy. Four appear in each of the first five chapters.
There are two types of Warp Zones:
- Purple Warp Zones lead to a series of three segments, two of which containing bandages. Each segment must be completed with three lives. Lives are replanished when a segment is completed. If all three lives are lost, the player exits the Warp Zone.
- Purple Warp Zones found in the Dark World appear as black on the level select.
- Red Warp Zones lead to a series of three segments. None contain bandages, and require playing as a certain character whose abilities will be utilized by the levels. The player has infinite lives, like the main game.
- In the levels, Red Warp Zones appear as purple until entered.
